The GAME LAB Design Centre focuses on virtual space design and research, including the gaming environment. One of the reasons for the establishment of our international lab was to combine the experience and knowledge of artists, researchers, and students from around the world. The best form of cooperation is workshop with a practical goal, i.e. to create a complete game with all elements, from idea to implementation, under the supervision of a mentor. The workshops are organised as part of the “GAME LAB – International Laboratory for Game Studies and Design” project.

Works of the students involved in Game Lab Challenge workshop | theme: MUTATIONS OF NATURE

CHARACTER DESIGNS

GAME LAB CHALLENGE | MUTATIONS OF NATURE

[vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″]

[/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″]
source: www.gamelab.us.edu.pl

SCENERY DESIGNS

GAME LAB CHALLENGE | MUTATIONS OF NATURE

[/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″]

One of such initiatives is the Game Lab Challenge. international workshop. The workshop is attended by 42 students from such countries as: Poland, Mexico, Czech Republic, Belgium, Germany, USA, and Japan. Their task is not only to develop a game, but also to prepare and test new tools and methods used for designing virtual spaces. They work under the supervision of 14 outstanding mentors from different academic centres all over the world.
