Prof.Karina Leksy, PhD<\/strong> (<strong>lead coordinator<\/strong>, <strong>Institute of Pedagogy<\/strong>, Faculty of Social Sciences),<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"721\" data-end=\"1150\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Assoc. Prof. Grzegorz Gawron, PhD<\/strong> (<strong>Institute of Sociology<\/strong>, Faculty of Social Sciences),<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"721\" data-end=\"1150\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Zuzanna Neuve-\u00c9glise, PhD<\/strong> (<strong>Institute of Sociology<\/strong>, Faculty of Social Sciences).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"721\" data-end=\"1150\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Co-organised with the <strong data-start=\"743\" data-end=\"789\">Schools for Health in Europe Network (SHE)<\/strong>, the event focused on research and initiatives conducted within school environments and in close collaboration with schools. Participants included renowned researchers, national and regional coordinators of Health-Promoting Schools, early-career scholars and PhD candidates, teachers, educators, and even students actively involved in health promotion efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1152\" data-end=\"1429\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The two-day event featured an intensive and content-rich programme of presentations, workshops, and discussion sessions. Participants had the opportunity to build international partnerships and exchange experiences related to promoting health and well-being in school settings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1431\" data-end=\"1886\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">One of the main conclusions of the meeting was that <strong data-start=\"1483\" data-end=\"1553\">effective health promotion in schools requires a holistic approach<\/strong> \u2013 one that embraces physical, mental and social well-being, and is grounded in the implementation of effective public policies. The discussions underscored the importance of integrating health education into the curriculum, creating supportive school environments and engaging families and communities in health-related initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1888\" data-end=\"2264\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The presented research showcased innovative strategies and interventions that can be implemented in schools to address various health challenges, considering the needs of all members of the school community. The evidence-based practices shared during the event are expected to serve as valuable resources for educators and policymakers in the field of school health promotion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2266\" data-end=\"2674\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">In addition, the conference highlighted the <strong data-start=\"2310\" data-end=\"2341\">importance of collaboration<\/strong>. By working together \u2013 across disciplines, sectors, and countries \u2013 It is possible to create more comprehensive and effective approaches to school health promotion, thus ensuring a better future for children, adolescents and adults alike.
