On 26\u201328 February 2025, the experts from our Observatory \u2013 Robert Pyka, PhD, DLitt, Assoc. Prof. (Project director); Krzysztof Bierwiaczek, PhD, DLitt, Assoc. Prof; Ma\u0142gorzata Suchacka, PhD, DLitt, Assoc. Prof and<\/strong>\u00a0Zuzanna Neuve-\u00c9glise, PhD<\/strong> \u2013 took part in the 4th Transnational Meeting of the MECOG-CE Project<\/strong> held in Berlin.<\/span><\/p>\n

This meeting marked a significant milestone in the project\u2019s implementation phase, focusing on the development of five innovative solutions<\/strong> in the metropolitan areas of Brno, Berlin-Brandenburg, Warsaw, Turin, Ostrava<\/strong>\u00a0and Stuttgart<\/strong>. These solutions were developed through collaborative work in study clusters<\/strong>, culminating in the successful completion of five pilot actions<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the course of three days, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on completed and upcoming activities, as well as the first draft of the Strategy for Strengthening Metropolitan Cooperation and Governance in Central Europe<\/strong>. This strategy aims to reinforce metropolitan-level governance both at the European level and within the project\u2019s partner regions, while also offering a model to inspire other metropolitan areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the working sessions, study visits provided participants with valuable insights into urban development models and spatial planning practices in Berlin.<\/span><\/p>\n
