DS „UŚKA”: student residence hall and canteen

Accessibility of the entrance to the building and control area

The building is clearly labelled with the inscription “DS UŚKA” placed on the façade. The labelling is visible both from the main road – ul. Bielska, and from the car park.

The building is six-storey: the basements contain technical premises; levels 1–5 contain suites and student rooms, whereas at level -1 contains an isolation room and former student clinic rooms located near the reception desk. In the second part of the building, there is a canteen on the 1st floor.

The best access to the building for a person in a wheelchair is from the car park side through the pavement and gentle ramp located approximately 20 metres from the parking space for the disabled.

The stairs begin upon entering the building.

The stairs on the left lead to the student residence hall, whereas the stairs on the right lead to the canteen connected with the student residence hall through the connector.

There is no lift, ramp, or platform through which these stairs can be skipped.

Accessibility of corridors, stairs and elevators

The building has no lift, and entrance to higher storeys can be difficult for individuals with disabilities.

The corridors and staircases are wide.

Parking spaces designated for persons with disabilities and the way to use them

There is a properly labelled parking space for the disabled near the building.

Parking there is free of charge and available only for the authorised individuals with a parking card for the disabled. Please put your parking card behind the windscreen of your vehicle.
