Magdalena Zimna is a laureate of the seventh edition of the university poll “A Graduate with Passion”. A graduate of the Faculty of Philology (currently the Faculty of Humanities), she has been running the blog titled “We read because we love reading” for over 5 years and has over 500,000 views. She promotes both Polish and foreign authors, conducts interviews, attends meetings with authors, and her logo appears on many books. She gets involved in promoting the literature: she loves reading books and writing reviews of them.

This passion has changed her and opened her to people. It stimulated her imagination and expanded her vocabulary, thanks to which she began her dream studies, which later allowed her to work in both the library and the publishing house.

The poll ended and its results were announced during the graduation ceremony of the best graduates, which took place on December 11, 2019 at the University of Silesia. Magdalena Zimna received a commemorative diploma, statuette and award: a participation in the research flight of the ULKA Sky Mobile Laboratory.

The poll was aimed at promoting the achievements and extraordinary passions of graduates of the University of Silesia from the beginning of the university’s existence. The title “A Graduate with Passion” is a distinction awarded for interests to which an awarded person devotes himself or herself with full commitment, for active and significant social activity and for individual achievements in cultural, scientific or sport activities.
