Prof. Sebastian Stach, a member of the Committee on Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences

Sebastian Stach, PhD, DSc, Associate Professor, from the Institute of Biomedical Engineering of the University of Silesia in Katowice was appointed as a member of the Committee on Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The aim of the unit is the cooperation of the scientific community in the field of biocybernetics and biomedical engineering, as well as the coordination of activities aimed at the development of this discipline in Poland. Members are elected every four years and are the substantive representation of the national research community and the biomedical engineering industry.

Prof. Sebastian Stach is the director of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Silesia in Katowice. His research interests include: biomedical engineering, image analysis and processing, biomedical informatics, confocal microscopy and AFM microscopy of material surface, quantitative analysis and modelling of material surface, as well as material strength.
