Prof. Wiesław Banyś, Rector of the University of Silesia in 2008–2016, has been appointed a member of European University Association Nominations Committee (EUA NC). His term lasts four years.
European University Association (EUA), which consists of European universities, was established in 2001. The main task of the organisation is to standardise the process of student education and research conduct. Nominations Committee carries out initial interviews and preliminary selection of candidates for president and members of EUA Management Board. Prof. Wiesław Banyś was previously a member of EUA Council and Management Board.
