Visit from abroad as part of the Erasmus+ project

Delegations from foreign scientific centres and municipalities from Latvia and Turkey and representatives of the city of Mikołów were guests of the 2nd international meeting of the “Innovation and Transformation in Education” project implemented under the Erasmus+ programme at the Institute of Pedagogy of the University of Silesia in cooperation with the Institute of Psychology of the University of Silesia.

On the second day, the guests visited the University of Silesia, where they were welcomed by Małgorzata Myśliwiec, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor, Plenipotentiary of the Dean for International Cooperation at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Silesia. Next, the main part of the meeting took place, chaired by Karolina Skop, MA, Partnership Coordinator on behalf of the Institute of Pedagogy, and Susanna Neuve-Église, MA, from the Office for Evaluation and Service of Institutes of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Apart from project activities, the members of the delegation learned more about the activities of the University and had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the students of pedagogy. The International Relations Department of the University of Silesia talked about the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE and the specifics of studying at the University.

In the second part of the day, everyone had the opportunity to visit Nikiszowiec, the Tadeusz Kościuszko Primary School No. 11 with Integrated Classes in Katowice and the Krzysztof Kieslowski Film School.

This way the guests got to know the aspects of culture, architecture, and modern education in Silesia in practice.

On behalf of the Institute of Pedagogy, the meetings on that day were attended by Magdalena Marekwia MA, Hewilia Hetmańczyk PhD, and Monika Frania, PhD.
