The joint press conference of the City of Cieszyn and University of Silesia called \u2018Inseparable Silesia\u2019 took place on Thursday, 25 June 2020 on Most Przyja\u017ani (Friendship Bridge) in Cieszyn.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by: Prof. Ryszard Kozio\u0142ek \u2013 rector-elect of the University of Silesia, Assoc. Prof. Jan Kajfosz, Professor of the University of Silesia and Dr. Grzegorz Odoj, Professor of the University of Silesia \u2013 scientists from the Faculty of Arts and Educational Science at the University of Silesia specialised in the subject of borderland, as well as Gabriela Staszkiewicz \u2013 Mayor of Cieszyn and Gabriela H\u0159eba\u010dkov\u00e1 \u2013 Mayor of \u010cesk\u00fd T\u011b\u0161\u00edn.<\/p>\n

The authorities of the city and University wanted to show the importance of open borders for the region and local community, as well as the consequences of the \u2018separation\u2019 of Silesia for the University. Another purpose of the meeting was the call for opening the borders and \u2018non-separation\u2019 of Silesia.<\/p>\n

The conference was held in the form of a press briefing.<\/p>\n
