A method of interpreting an engineering work from the perspective of history of art\u201d. The lecture will be an introduction to reflections on post-industrial heritage (including Upper Silesia), which, in the opinion of the art historian, still lacks a coherent programme for <em>Magnae Industriae <\/em>historical monument preservation, as well as system for analysing and interpreting this subject from the perspective of the scientific discipline represented by Prof. Ewa Chojecka. \u2018Baxandall seems to be really helpful in this regard\u2019, says the lecturer.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting begins on 18 December 2020 at 5 PM on <a href=\"https:\/\/teams.microsoft.com\/l\/meetup-join\/19%3a20e1d5f97d88429c8cbb8dfa24b012ee%40thread.tacv2\/1607550748754?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%2250c76291-0c80-4444-a2fb-4f8ab168c311%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%228e2edce8-445f-422b-9aac-eb035af25b28%22%7d\">MS Teams<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Prof. Ewa Chojecka \u2013 art historian and academic, founder and Head of the Department of History of Art at the University of Silesia in Katowice in 1977\u20132003. She specialises in 19th and 20th century Silesian and Central European art, in particular architecture and theory of art. She is the author of many publications, including the synthesis of the history of art in the Upper Silesia (as a co-author and editor), and the book entitled \u201eSilesia incognita. Architektura ko\u015bcio\u0142\u00f3w ewangelickich G\u00f3rnego \u015al\u0105ska 1945\u20132017\u201d (Silesia incognita.
