Interdisciplinary Centre for Research on Humanist Education at the University of Silesia in Katowice and Department of Slavic Languages at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Palack\u00fd University Olomouc are co-organising the 2nd edition of Master Lectures entitled \u201cChampions Debate: Education for the Climate\u201d. This is another meeting as part of \u201cV4 Humanities Education for the Climate. Diagnoses \u2013 Best Practices \u2013 Recommendations\u201d project. The goal of the event is to introduce the problems of climate change, and reformulate the tasks of contemporary humanities in V4 countries and around the world. The meeting will be held on MS Teams platform.<\/p>\n
The debate will be attended by authors and\u00a0<\/em>specialists in the field of environmental humanities and education for climate: Julia Fiedorczuk-Glinecka, PhD, DLitt\u00a0(University of Warsaw) and Filip Springer, reporter and photographer \u2013 founders of the first School of Ecopoetics in Poland, as well as Magdalena Steci\u0105g, PhD, DLitt, Associate professor of the University of Zielona G\u00f3ra, who specialises in ecological discourse. The University of Silesia will be represented by Rector, Prof. Ryszard Kozio\u0142ek, who is also the host of the meeting.<\/p>\n The event will be opened by Ivana Dobrotov\u00e1, PhD, Dlitt, Associate Professor, Head of the Faculty of Polish Studies at the Department of Slavonic Studies at the Palack\u00fd University Olomouc.<\/p>\n Participation in the event is free-of-charge.
