This year, Children’s Day, one of the nicest holidays on the calendar, will be celebrated at the University of Silesia in a specific way.<\/p>\n

A lecture, workshops, and a fairy tale<\/h3>\n
On 31 May (Monday), on the eve of Children\u2019s Day, Prof. Ewa Jarosz, the Vice-Rector for Staff Development, will deliver the Children, social life actors: about the participation rights<\/em> lecture on children’s rights. It is worth noting that Prof. Ewa Jarosz has been dealing with issues such as the development of the idea of children’s rights and its social implementation and the violence against children in her research. The broadcast of the lecture will start at 6 p.m. and will be available on the University of Silesia\u2019s Facebook and YouTube Channel.<\/p>\n On 1 June (Tuesday) at 11 a.m. we invite all children for craftwork workshops “Ta\u0144cz\u0105ca Cieszynianka\u201d<\/a> (Dancing Cieszyn Girl) inspired by the Cieszyn folk costume. The workshops will be led by Agnieszka Pawlitko. During the workshops, children will glue, cut out, colour, draw, and, of course, dance. They will also learn a lot of fascinating facts about the individual elements of Cieszyn folk costume.
