The event will be held from 14 to 18 March.<\/p>\n<p>As part of this year&#8217;s edition of the Brain Week, popular science lectures on topics related to the brains, their development, origin and operation will be presented.<\/p>\n<p>The event aims to promote neurobiology, cognitive science, and psychology and is directed towards students and all other interested people.<\/p>\n<p>The lectures will be broadcast on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/478201974029152\">Facebook<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCu6YObSHbjwFS8YGY8UkdCA\">YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Event programme:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cO czym rozmawiaj\u0105 neurony? Neurotransmission mechanisms in the nervous system) by Jacek Francikowski, PhD, from the University of Silesia, 14 March 2022, at 4 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cThe Mind of a Bee\u201d by Prof. Lars Chittka from the Queen Mary University of London, 15 March 2022, at 4 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cMasz do tego g\u0142ow\u0119!\u201d (You have the brains for it), a seminar delivered by: Katarzyna Kasperkiewicz, PhD, from the University of Silesia, Prof. Ma\u0142gorzata Kossut from the Polish Academy of Sciences, Marek Karczmarczyk, PhD, from the University of Silesia, Mi\u0142os\u0142awa Kwiatkowska, PhD DVM, Marek Wypych, PhD, from the Polish Academy of Sciences, Wojciech Glac, PhD, Associate Professor from the University of Gda\u0144sk, and S\u0142awomir Prusakowski from SWPS University, 16 March 2022, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>\u201eChoroby neurodegeneracyjne \u2013 wina mikroorganizm\u00f3w?\u201d (Neurodegenerative diseases \u2013 are microorganisms at fault?\u201d, Mariusz Gog\u00f3l, Phd, from the Copernicus Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of the Jagiellonian University, 17 March 2022, at 6 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>\u201eCo si\u0119 dzieje w m\u00f3zgu w ci\u0105gu doby?\u201d (What happens in the brain during day and night?\u201d, Prof. El\u017cbieta Pyza from the Jagiellonian University in Krak\u00f3w, 18 March 2022, at 4 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The organisers of the event are Bartosz Baran, Jacek Francikowski, Micha\u0142 Krzy\u017cowski \u2013 scientists from the Institute of Biology, Biotechnology and Environmental Protection of the University of Silesia, and Sylwia Butkiewicz from the Jagiellonian University in Krak\u00f3w.
