The University of Silesia in Katowice, the Municipality of Jaworzno, and the Municipal Centre of Culture and Sports in Jaworzno signed a cooperation agreement. The meeting was held in the Rectorate of the University of Silesia on 21 April 2022.<\/p>\n

The agreement concerns, among others, the parties\u2019 mutual cooperation in terms of the realisation and implementation of scientific research, teaching activity, organisation and promotion of events addressed to the public, as well as, in particular, the experimental production and use of energy pellets from biomass as part of the project implemented by the Centre for Biomass Energy Research and Education at the University of Silesia in Katowice. The aim of the unit is to conduct and promote dynamic and interdisciplinary research on energy from biomass by strengthening cooperation between scientists and industry. The coordinator of the project from the University of Silesia is Iwona Jelonek, PhD, DSc, Associate Professor.<\/p>\n

The document was signed by: Vice-Rector for International and Domestic Cooperation of the University of Silesia, Prof. Tomasz Pietrzykowski, the Director of the Municipal Centre of Culture and Sports in Jaworzno, Sebastian Ku\u015b, and the President of the City of Jaworzno, Pawe\u0142 Silber.<\/p>\n
