The guest of the 77th meeting of the Ecological Thinking Club will be Marcin Popkiewicz \u2013 the author of bestsellers such as \u201c\u015awiat na rozdro\u017cu\u201d (\u201cWorld at Crossroads\u201d), \u201cRewolucja energetyczna. Ale po co?\u201d (\u201cEnergy Revolution. But what for?\u201d), and \u201cZrozumie\u0107 transformacj\u0119 energetyczn\u0105\u201d (\u201cUnderstanding Energy Transformation\u201d). Founder and editor of the websites naukaoklimacie.pl and ziemianarozdrozu.pl. Winner of the main prize \u201cDziennikarze dla klimatu 2015\u201d (Journalists for Climate), and \u201cEconomicus 2016\u201d for the best book spreading knowledge on economy, and \u201cPromotor Energetyki Odnawialnej 2016\u201d (Renewable energy Promoter). In 2017, together with the editorial team of the \u201cNauka o Klimacie\u201d he won the \u201cPopularizer of Science\u201d award granted by Ministry of Science and Higher Education and Polish Press Agency. In 2022 he received an award \u201cEducation on Sustainable Development Leader\u201d of the Forbes magazine. Chair of the Monitoring Committee for European Green Deal projects at the National Centre for Research and Development.<\/span><\/p>\n The topic of the meeting will be energy transformation.<\/span><\/p>\n The event will be accompanied by the promotion of the guest’s latest book: \u201cZrozumie\u0107 transformacj\u0119 energetyczn\u0105\u201d (\u201cUnderstanding Energy Transformation\u201d) (Published by Sonia Draga Post factum, 2022).<\/span><\/p>\n The meeting will take place in Zag\u0142\u0119biowska Mediateka (ul. Ko\u015bcielna 11, Sosnowiec).<\/span><\/p>\n The event is organised by Ecological Thinking Club, Metropolis GZM, University of Silesia in Katowice and Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Silesia.<\/span><\/p>\n The media patronage over the event is exercised by, inter alia, \u201cGazeta Uniwersytecka U\u015a\u201d (University of Silesia Magazine).<\/span><\/p>\n
