Do their examples show that it is not worth investing in film education, and that aspiring filmmakers should focus on self-development? How to teach those who want to become successful cinematographers or screenwriters in the future? Does the curriculum keep up with the industry that is constantly changing, both in the business and technological aspects?<\/p>\n<p>Representatives of Polish public and private schools educating aspiring Oscar candidates will try to find answers to the above questions during the discussion panel \u2018The future of film schools in Poland\u2019 which will be held on 22 October 2022 at 4 p.m. at Kino Elektronik in Warsaw.<\/p>\n<p>The guests of the panel will be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Krystyna Doktorowicz, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor \u2013 Dean of the Krzysztof Kie\u015blowski Film School of the University of Silesia in Katowice;<\/li>\n<li>Milenia Fiedler, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor \u2013 Rector of the Polish National, Film, Television and Theatre School in Lodz;<\/li>\n<li>Wojciech Marczewski, PhD, DLitt \u2013 co-founder and programme director of the Wajda School;<\/li>\n<li>Barbara Paw\u0142owska, PhD \u2013 Vice-Rector for Education and Students of the Warsaw Film School<\/li>\n<li>Jerzy Rados \u2013 deputy director of the Gdynia Film School.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The discussion will be led by journalist Stanis\u0142aw Bry\u015b \u2013 a graduate of the organisation of film and television production at USil Krzysztof Kie\u015blowski Film School of the University of Silesia.<\/p>\n<p>The panel is organised by USil Krzysztof Kie\u015blowski Film School and is part of the 38th Warsaw Film Festival, which takes place from 14 to 23 October 2022.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the discussion panel, the festival also includes competitions featuring films created by employees, students and graduates of USil Krzysztof Kie\u015blowski Film School.<\/p>\n<p>One of them is the full-length feature debut directed by a graduate Maciej Kawalski.
