Universality\u2019 campaign, the University of Silesia organises on-site and online lectures for all interested.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Schedule<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The lectures consist of four meetings:<\/p>\n<p>19 October 2022 (on-site):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>11.20 a.m. \u201312:35 p.m.: \u2018Universal design\u2019 by Grzegorz Gawron, PhD;<\/li>\n<li>2.00\u20133.30 p.m.: \u2018Digital accessibility in practice\u2019 by Przemys\u0142aw Kud\u0142acik, PhD Eng.;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>20 October 2022 (online):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>9.00\u201310.30 a.m.: \u2018Why is accessibility important and what does it mean?\u2019 by Lubomira Trojan;<\/li>\n<li>4.00\u20135.30 p.m.: \u201eDesign for All: inclusion by design\u201d by Pete Kercher.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The on-site lectures take place at the Kazimierz Lepszy Lecture Hall in the USil Rectorate building; the online lectures take place via Zoom.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Lecturers bio<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Grzegorz Gawron, PhD \u2013 PhD in sociology, Assistant Professor at the USil Institute of Sociology, author and editor of publications on co-production of public services, productivity in later life, social gerontology, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Design for All and Universal Design.<\/p>\n<p>Przemys\u0142aw Kud\u0142acik, PhD Eng. \u2013 employee of the USil Institute of Computer Science. His research interests revolve around various artificial intelligence techniques, in particular fuzzy sets and artificial neural networks. He has been cooperating with the Polish Association of the Blind, the Special Education Centre for Blind and Low Vision Children in Chorz\u00f3w and the Regional Foundation for Supporting Blind Persons and providing them support regarding information technology for several years.<\/p>\n<p>Lubomira Trojan \u2013 cultural anthropologist associated with the Zamek Cieszyn regional design centre for several years. He specialises in service design and social design and processes aiming at combining design methods with tradition.
