The 12th edition of the popular science event entitled Biologists\u2019 Night will take place on Friday, 13 January 2023, at the Institute of Biology, Biotechnology and Environmental Protection of the University of Silesia in Katowice. This year\u2019s edition is organised under the slogan \u2018Water \u2014 the source of life \u2014 present and future\u2019.<\/p>\n
The event will begin with an opening lecture entitled \u2018Biological waste water treatment\u2019 at 3 p.m. in the lecture hall at ul. Bankowa 9. The participants will also have the opportunity to take part in a series of meetings with scientists working at the Institute, organised as popular science workshops, lectures, and discussions.<\/p>\n
The lectures will be delivered from 4 p.m. to 5.20 p.m. in both Institute buildings at ul. Bankowa 9 and ul. Jagiello\u0144ska 28. Feel free to participate in various workshops, science shows, presentations, and an exhibition taking place from 5 p.m. to 9.15 p.m. Games, quizzes and contests with numerous attractive prizes for children and young people will be run at the same time. Many activities do not require previous registration.<\/p>\n
