On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Wis\u0142awa Szymborska\u2019s birthday, from 16 to 20 October 2023, a series of events dedicated to the Nobel laureate will be held at the Scientific Information Centre and Academic Library in Katowice (CINiBA).<\/p>\n

During these days, you will be able to see an exhibition of reproductions of the poet\u2019s collages, an exhibition of volumes of poetry from the library\u2019s collection, a screening of short film materials in which readers will talk about their own experiences with her work, and broadcasts of recordings of poems read by the author herself.<\/p>\n

Moreover, in cooperation with the Polish Studies Student Research Group of the University of Silesia, a scientific seminar will be organised, moderated by Prof. Marian Kisiel from USil Faculty of Humanities, as well as interpretation workshops for school youth.<\/p>\n

Participation in the event is free and does not require registration.<\/p>\n
