The event is co-organised by the Faculty of Arts and Educational Science of the University of Silesia in Katowice. The Institute of Computer Science at the Faculty of Science and Technology is also involved in the cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s Game Music Fest is one of the events organised as part of the European City of Science Katowice 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The first edition of the festival took place in February 2023 and was attended by almost 5,000 visitors.<\/p>\n<h3>19 April \u2013 Cosmic Game Music Show at the Planetarium &#8211; Silesian Science Park<\/h3>\n<p>A spectacular live electronic music show, combined with amazing cosmic visualisations, will be carried out at the Planetarium &#8211; Silesian Science Park. The show will be played by Tomasz Pauszek &#8211; composer, conductor, music producer as well asn electronic and instrumental music performer. He creates music for TV broadcasts, music libraries and games. He is the author of individual solo albums with electronic, chillout and film music. Throughout his career he is an active live performer, regarding each show as a separate, independent, individually designed and directed project, diversified with lasers, lights and state-of-the-art multimedia.<\/p>\n<p>The concert will be accompanied by the exhibition \u201cThe alloy of art and technology\u201d prepared by students from the Institute of Computer Science of the University of Silesia in Katowice.<\/p>\n<h3>20 April \u2013 Game Music Concert in Spodek Arena in Katowice<\/h3>\n<p>Live game music in Spodek! Multimedia, music, lights, dance &#8211; all of this and more will allow us to move into the virtual world thanks to the second edition of the spectacular Game Music Concert. During this event you will be able to find out what emotions can be aroused by music from the best known computer games, as well as immerse yourselves in the world of sounds in a unique setting, with visualisations prepared specially for this occasion.<\/p>\n<p>The programme will include music from such games as:\u00a0<em>Assassin\u2019s Creed<\/em>,\u00a0<em>God of War<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Mortal Kombat<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Call of duty<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Skyrim<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Mass Effect<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Fortnite<\/em>,\u00a0<em>League of Legends<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Halo<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Minecraft, Everybody\u2019s Gone to the Rapture, Horizon, Elden Ring, Final Fantasy<\/em>\u00a0performed by the Choir and Symphony Orchestra of the Silesian Philharmonic.<\/p>\n<p>Artists:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Choir of the Silesian Philharmonic,<\/li>\n<li>Symphony Orchestra of the Silesian Philharmonic,<\/li>\n<li>Rados\u0142aw Dro\u0144 \u2013 conductor,<\/li>\n<li>Jaros\u0142aw Boberek \u2013 host.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The concert will be enhanced by the animations prepared by students of the 2nd cycle studies in Games and Virtual Reality Design of the University of Silesia in Katowice.<\/p>\n<h3>21 April \u2013 Game Music Fest &#8211; IN PROGRESS<\/h3>\n<p>The third day of Game Music Fest will take place on 21 April. The leading slogan is IN PROGRESS &#8211; creative process of making music for games shown from different perspectives. This will be an opportunity to get to know the latest solutions, listen to experts, composers and sound designers.<\/p>\n<p>Game Music Discussion Panel involving experts and people from the gamedev \u2013 sound design industry will take place at 3 p.m. in Keywords Studios (Katowice, ul. Zabrska 17, building A1). The panel will be attended by: Adam Skorupa \u2013 composer and sound designer, Adam Weso\u0142owski \u2013 Director of the Silesian Philharmonic, Mat Ombler \u2013 Head of Music &amp; Gaming Partnerships Laced at Keywords Studio, Adrian Mierzwa \u2013 L&amp;D Senior Training Specialist at Keywords Studios, Agnieszka Szcz\u0119sna \u2013 Silesian University of Technology, Tomasz Bonikowski \u2013 University of Silesia. The panel will be hosted by Micha\u0142 Niechcia\u0142 \u2013 FQA Project Manager at Keywords Studios.<\/p>\n<p>The vernissage of diploma works and AR posters made by graduates and students of Games and Virtual Reality Design degree programme at the Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences of the University of Silesia will take place at 5 p.m. in the Silesian Philharmonic building.<\/p>\n<p>At 6 p.m., Silesian Chamber Orchestra of the Silesian Philharmonic conducted by Rados\u0142aw Dro\u0144 will perform film music used in games in the Concert Hall of the Silesian Philharmonic. The background of the event will be an outstanding hologram setting, which will provide unforgettable experience for the audience.<\/p>\n<p>Detailed information about Game Music Fest, including ticket info, is available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/filharmonia-slaska.eu\/game-music-fest\/\">Silesian Philharmonic website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/us.edu.pl\/event\/game-music-fest-in-progress\/\">Game Music Fest \u2013 IN PROGRESS<\/a>, is the event of the Faculty of Arts and Educational Science of the University of Silesia in Cieszyn. It will include a vernissage of students\u2019 works, presentation of diplomas of 1st and 2nd cycle graduates and their supervisors, presentation of games developed by lecturers called \u201cExperimental games\u201d and animations from the previous edition of the festival in new sound arrangements. The event will also include a performance by Silesian Chamber Orchestra from the Silesian Philharmonic. The vernissage and concert will take place on 12 April 2024 at 5 p.m. at the Zamek Cieszyn (u. Zamkowa 3 a, b, c). The exhibition can be visited until 17 April 2024.
