The Centre for Polar Studies, the Polish Polar Consortium and the Polar Research Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences are organising an open international scientific session \u2018High North and Far South from European and Regional Perspectives\u2019 under the patronage of the European Polar Board.<\/p>\n
The event will take place on 24 April 2024 in the conference room of the Scientific Information Centre and Academic Library in Katowice (ul. Bankowa 11a).<\/p>\n
The session will feature outstanding researchers presenting papers on leading European research directions and science policy regarding the polar regions and the results of the European project EU-PolarNet 2, in which the University of Silesia in Katowice is a partner. Scientists will also present papers on the key results of the latest Polish research and the development of monitoring changes in the Arctic and Antarctic environment at Polish polar stations.<\/p>\n
