On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the birth of the legendary editor of Kultura<\/em>, Jerzy Giedroyc, the Senate of the Republic of Poland declared 2026 the Year of Jerzy Giedroyc.<\/p>\n The Faculty of Humanities of the University of Silesia, together with the Literary Institute in Maisons-Laffitte, is organising the exhibition \u2018Jerzy Giedroy\u0107 and His Work.<\/em> The Achievements of the <\/em>Kultura<\/em> Library\u2019.<\/em>\u00a0The opening of the exhibition will take place on 13 October 2025 in the main hall of the Scientific Information Centre and Academic Library (CINiBA). The exhibition will be on display until 26 October 2025.<\/p>\n On 13 October 2025 at 2 p.m., as part of the event, those interested will also have the opportunity to participate in a screening of the film Emigrant Giedroy\u0107<\/em> directed by Jan Czarlewski and a lecture by Anna Bernhardt from the Literary Institute in the I.
