The declaration of availability applies to <a id=\"a11y-url\" href=\"https:\/\/us.edu.pl\/en\/\">the website of the University of Silesia in Katowice<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Website publication date: <span id=\"a11y-data-publikacja\">30 November 2019<\/span><br \/>\nLast important update: <span id=\"a11y-data-aktualizacja\">18 March 2022<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The website is <span id=\"a11y-status\">partly consistent<\/span> with the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>some graphical elements might not be properly described in the alternative text,<\/li>\n<li>some video materials might not include audio descriptions,<\/li>\n<li>some video materials are not subtitled because they are subject to exemption, either due to being published before the act on digital accessibility came into force or because they originate from events broadcast in real time,<\/li>\n<li>the website is very extensive and varied, so there may be inconsistencies in the structure of the headings on some pages,<\/li>\n<li>links can be found on the website without describing the purpose of the link,<\/li>\n<li>files with inadequate language declarations, without tags and metadata, may be found on the website,<\/li>\n<li>there might errors in the website code.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The declaration was prepared on: <time id=\"a11y-data-sporzadzenie\" datetime=\"2024-03-19\">2024-03-19<\/time><\/p>\n<p>The declaration was reviewed on:\u00a0<time id=\"a11y-data-przeglad\" datetime=\"2026-03-23\">2026-03-23<\/time><\/p>\n<p>The declaration was prepared on the basis of self-assessment made by the public entity.<\/p>\n<p>You can use standard keyboard shortcuts on the website. In the same way, you can submit requests for sharing inaccessible information and lodge complaints against the lack of accessibility.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone has the right to request digital accessibility of the website, mobile app or any of their elements. You can also request sharing information through an alternative access method, e.g. by reading a digitally inaccessible document, describing film content without audio description, etc. The request should contain the data of the person submitting the request, specification of the website or mobile app and method of contact.<\/p>\n<p>If the person making the request reports the need to obtain information through an alternative access method, they should also determine the convenient method of presenting such information. A public entity should fulfil the request immediately, not later than within 7 days from the date of submitting the request. Should it not be possible to comply with the deadline, the public entity should inform the person making the request about it as soon as possible, whereby the new deadline cannot be later than 2 months from the date of submitting the request. Should it not be possible to provide digital accessibility, the public entity may offer an alternative method of access to information.
