The Centre for Polar Studies (CPS) provides high level research of polar areas such as the Arctic and Antarctic environment, lectures, joint seminars and participation in scientific projects. Starting in October 2014 the course of studies has a duration of 4 years (8 semesters).<\/p>\n<p>These very attractive studies will prepare a new generation of internationally competitive young scientists in the field of Earth sciences with a focus on high latitude land, ice and marine geosystems, ecosystems and polar climate change.<\/p>\n<p>The graduates will be ready for taking over leading positions in research and education. They will obtain the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Earth Sciences, disciplines: Geography, Geology, Geophysics, Oceanology.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application deadline: 5th September 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Candidates have to register in the <a href=\"http:\/\/irk.us.edu.pl\">IRK \u2013 online application system.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Interviews will take place on 15th-19th September 2014 in the institute appropriate to the chosen discipline.
