On 8 June 2011 the University of Silesia will celebrate its 43rd<\/SUP> birthday. On this occasion, His Magnificence Rektor of the University of Silesia prof. zw. dr hab. Wies\u0142aw Bany\u015b<\/A> invites students, employees, graduates and friends of the University to the pedestrian precinct in front of the rector\u2019s office building (address: ul. Bankowa 12).<\/P>

During the birthday meeting, which will commence at 11 am., occasional speeches will be given by HM Rector of the University of Silesia prof. zw. dr hab. Wies\u0142aw Bany\u015b and by president of the Student Government Board Piotr Goc. Attendees will join their forces to sing \u2018Sto lat\u2019, and then this birthday song will be sung by students from China, Georgia and Kazakhstan in their respective language versions. Organisers have planned a performance by a mysterious Marylin Monroe, birthday gifts, slicing of the birthday cake, and food and drinks for the guests.  <\/P>
