1st Sosnowiec Symposium on Communication across Cultures will take place on 26th-27th of April 2013, in Sosnowiec. The event is organized by Institute of English.<\/P>

The Sosnowiec Symposium on Communication across Cultures is to bring together an international group of researchers who study interpersonal communication, its cross-cultural and intercultural aspects in particular.
The special theme of the symposium is Face and Interaction<\/EM> and thus it focuses on the concept of face and its role in social interaction.
 <\/P>
\n

Plenary speakers are:<\/P>

Francesca Bargiela-Chiappini (University of Warwick, UK),
Andrzej \u0141yda (University of Silesia, Poland),
Maria Sifianou (University of Athens, Greece),
