We already know winners of the 4th Photo Biennale \u201eScience on Camera\u201d. Opening of the final exhibition took place on December 7th in the Silesian Library in Katowice. The theme of this year\u2019s competition was \u201cScience \u2013 the world around us\u201d.<\/P>

325 photos has been submitted to the competition, referring to research projects conducted in 17 research centres. Rector Prize was given to Krzysztof Ulaczyk from Astronomical Observatory of the University of Warsaw, for a photo \u201cView of the south pole of the sky \u2013 12.11.2012, Las Campanas observatory, Chile\u201d.<\/P>

\u201cScience on Camera\u201d Photo Biennale is being organized every two years by the University of Silesia in Katowic.
