Among the candidates is His Magnificence Rector of the University of Silesia in Katowice Prof. zw. dr hab. Wies\u0142aw Bany\u015b, President of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Universities.<\/p>\n
Pursuant to the EUA\u2019s statute, Board members are elected every two years.<\/p>\n
The European University Association represents and supports higher education institutions in 46 countries. The Organisation was established in 2001 as a result of a merger between two entities: the Association of European Universities (CRE) and the Confederation of European Union Rectors\u2019 Conferences (CEURC).<\/p>\n
