The first group of compounds demonstrates unique electron and photophysical properties, whereas the second group is currently examined for application as the active layer in organic light-emitting diodes (OLED). Both inventions have been patented.<\/p>\n<p>The research team mainly looks for solutions intended to remove problems connected with the known methods of obtaining the above compounds. However, as the chemists admit, the proposed solutions did not result directly from the previously used methods, but required a number of studies that enabled to select proper molar ratios of reagents, solvent, temperature and reaction time.
