The results were announced during the 8th Student Community Award Gala. \u201cPro Juvenes\u201d awards are granted by the Students\u2019 Parliament of the Republic of Poland. Their goal is to promote active students and their initiatives, as well as to emphasize the merits of individuals and units that are student-friendly and suppport the potential of young people.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Wies\u0142aw Bany\u015b has held the following positions: Rector of the University of Silesia (2008\u20132016), Chair of the Conference of Rectors of Universities in Poland (2008\u20132012), Chair of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (2012\u20132016), and currently he is the Vice-Chair of the General Council for Higher Education.<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div>\r\n                    <\/div>\r\n                <\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;]\r\n                <div class=\"text-modules\">\r\n                    <div class=\"container\">\r\n                        \r\n                        <div class=\"text-modules__content\"><\/p>\n<p><img class=\"size-full wp-image-129482\" src=\"https:\/\/us.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/fotografie\/prof.-Wies\u0142aw-Bany\u015b.jpg\" alt=\"Prof. dr hab.
