A. Ioannidis, Kevin W. Boyack and Jeroen Baas based on selected bibliometric indices and data from Scopus database.<\/p>\n<p>The authors used the <em>composite citation index<\/em> which they developed themselves, including the following data: number of quotations, Hirsch index (h-index), as well as the role of the publication author among co-authors. Due to different quotation customs, the most frequently quoted scientists in particular thematic categories were also taken into consideration in the specific disciplines.<\/p>\n<p>This prestigious group includes scholars associated with the University of Silesia in Katowice:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prof. Beata Walczak,<\/li>\n<li>Prof. Grzegorz Racki,<\/li>\n<li>Prof. Marian Paluch,<\/li>\n<li>Prof. Rafa\u0142 Sitko,<\/li>\n<li>Prof. Eng.
