It is with pain, sadness
\nand a sense of great loss
\nthat we have received the news about the death of<\/p>\n

Prof. Andrzej Noras<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

long-term employee of the Institute of Philosophy at the University of Silesia,
\nVice-Rector for Research in 2016\u20132020,
\nDeputy Dean for Science at the Faculty of Social Sciences in 2012\u20132016,
\nlong-term Head of the Department\u00a0of the\u00a0History of Modern\u00a0and\u00a0Contemporary Philosophy,
\noutstanding specialist in the field of history of philosophy.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He will remain in our memories as a remarkable scholar and renowned academic,
\nauthor of numerous research papers, tutor of many generations of philosophers,
\ncommitted to people and academic affairs, always ready to provide help and good advice,
\nrespected and widely recognised in the community.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

May he rest in peace.<\/p>\n
