The new project entitled \u201eE-learning prospects for humanities \/ Elephant\u201d is a response to the current challenges for education in humanities, connected with the necessity to introduce various distance learning forms, both attractive for young people and effective at the same time.<\/p>\n

The project, which received funding under ERASMUS+ programme in the amount of EUR 215.762, will be implemented within the framework of prestigious international partnership, which consists of: Presovska Univerzita v Presove (Slovakia), Kazimiero Simonaviciaus Universitetas (Lithuania), Universita Degli Studi di Salerno (Italy) and Zapadoceska Univerzita v Plznie (Czech Republic). The leader of this consortium is the University of Silesia in Katowice.<\/p>\n

The project, which was initiatied by Dr Katarzyna Sujkowska-Sobisz, Professor of the University of Silesia, Plenipotentiary of the Rector University of Silesia for Education Quality and Accreditations, Chair of the\u00a0 Education and Student Affairs Committee, is designed to diagnose the needs related to remote education, analyse good practices in the field of the so-called\u00a0distance learning<\/em>,\u00a0and stimulate virtual forms of cooperation and communication, as well as to prepare a practical tool for academics, which may support them in their daily work with students and PhD students. Moreover, the project will allow to prepare short training programmes for academics and promotional events.<\/p>\n

The project activities began in December 2020 and will be conducted for two years. The project will involve the following employees of Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Arts and Educational Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, and Faculty of Law and Administration:<\/p>\n
