One of such devices is a system for monitoring respiratory activity, including breathing frequency and strength. The indicators mentioned above are particularly important in cases of patients suffering from respiratory diseases, such as asthma, tuberculosis, or cystic fibrosis. They are also useful in testing the lung capacity of athletes or in medical emergency services.<\/p>\n<p>The system can also prove useful in home settings if you would like to monitor your current health condition.<\/p>\n<p>The device consists of many different elements. Some of the components used are innovative solutions that have been submitted to the patent office. And two of them have just recently been patented.<\/p>\n<p>Scientists point out the most important advantages of the system. Such as its small size and relatively simple construction, low energy consumption thanks to the radio interface, or the ability to communicate with various mobile devices. Especially noteworthy is the design of a new method of data transmission for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) transmitters, integrated into the system.<\/p>\n<p>The authors of the patented solutions are: Pawe\u0142 Janik, PhD, Micha\u0142 Pielka, MSc Eng, Ma\u0142gorzata Janik, PhD and Prof. Eng.
