\nand Mediterranean geomorphology,
\nthe founder of the French school of karst geomorphology,
\nthe creator of Association Fran\u00e7aise de Karstologie
\n(French Association of Karst Research) and its president between 1977-1986,
\nand later its honorary president; former president of
\nCommision de Phenomene Karstique du Comite National de Geographie
\n(Karst Phenomena Commission at the French National Geography Committee),
\nprofessor at the Aix-Marseille University between 1968-1989,
\nand retired professor between 198-1993,
\nassociated with the University of Nice,
\nCorresponding Member of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts,
\nthe creator and editor of \u201cKarstologia\u201d and \u201cM\u00e9diterran\u00e9e\u201d journals.<\/p>\n
\nof the University of Silesia,
\nmeritorious for creation and implementation of scientific cooperation
\nbetween Polish and French geographers
\nand karstic phenomena researchers,
\nespecially during the 1970s and 1980s,
\na difficult time for Polish researchers.<\/p>\n
