{"id":137893,"date":"2021-04-20T12:57:58","date_gmt":"2021-04-20T10:57:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/us.edu.pl\/?p=137893"},"modified":"2022-04-19T11:17:45","modified_gmt":"2022-04-19T09:17:45","slug":"international-game-lab-challenge-podsumowanie-pierwszego-etapu-warsztatow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/us.edu.pl\/en\/international-game-lab-challenge-podsumowanie-pierwszego-etapu-warsztatow\/","title":{"rendered":"International Game Lab Challenge \u2013 1st stage of workshops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;]\r\n                <div class=\"text-modules\">\r\n                    <div class=\"container\">\r\n                        \r\n                        <div class=\"text-modules__content\"><\/p>\n<p>The first of the three stages of \u201cChallenge\u201d workshops has concluded; the workshops are carried out under the project \u201cGame Lab \u2013 International Laboratory for Game Studies and Design,\u201d which is financed by the Programme of the International Academic Partnerships of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange The purpose of the Game Lab\u2019s project is to develop innovative and sustainable international cooperation based on the share of experiences, joint creative and research activities of academic centres in the European Union, Asia, and North and Central America.<\/p>\n<p>The adopted structure requires a multifaceted approach; therefore, for the purposes of the project, this process is divided into the following constituents: communication, integration, partnership, culture, technology, science, and art.<\/p>\n<p>The core of the project is the International Game Lab Challenge, i.e., eight-month workshops dedicated to game design and addressed to students of art, design, and IT. Our partners are universities that provide education in new technologies in the design of multipurpose virtual environments, video games, design, multimedia, and programming.<\/p>\n<p>Partners of the project:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University of Silesia in Katowice,<\/li>\n<li>Northern Illinois University, USA,<\/li>\n<li>Harz University of Applied Sciences, Germany,<\/li>\n<li>University of Ostrava, Republika Czech Republic,<\/li>\n<li>LUCA School of Arts, Belgium,<\/li>\n<li>Tokyo University of Technology, School of Media Science, Japan,<\/li>\n<li>Benem\u00e9rita Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Puebla, Mexico.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The project has appointed 7 international laboratories, in which 42 students led by 16 mentors of individual universities, will carry out tasks related to game
