The jury of the 61st Krakow Film Festival has awarded the Krzysztof Kie\u015blowski Film School lecturer and graduate Andrzej Cichocki with Silver Hobby Horse for the best documentary film under 30 minutes for his film A Little Bit of Paradise<\/em>.<\/p>\n

A Little Bit of Paradise<\/em> is a film about the life of a family of several people. By the use of cost-effective means of expression, the director shows common life episodes such as watching a match together and children having fun. The film is a snapshot of the everyday life of several chosen people. As stated in the jury\u2019s verdict, \u201cthe short film about infinity, from the shadow of margin, poverty, and degradation, which highlights the inconceivable lucidity of life.\u201d<\/p>\n

The film also received an award for the best cinematography in the Polish competition. Andrzej Cichocki received an award under the patronage of the Association of Polish Cinematographers for, as it reads, \u201ca thinking camera, empathetic use of the image, authentic performance, and a successful attempt to mirror the children world.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Silver Hobby Horse is not the first award for the lecturer of the Krzysztof Kie\u015blowski Film School. In 2014, Andrzej Cichocki received a Silver Tadpole during the Camerimage International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography for the film Shadow Forest. His name is also mentioned in such productions as Battle of Warsaw 1920<\/em> by Jerzy Hoffman and Once Upon a Time in November<\/em> by Andrzej Jakimowski.<\/p>\n
