Prof. Tomasz Pietrzykowski, Vice-Rector for International and Domestic Cooperation of the University of Silesia has been reappointed Chair of the Council of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). He will also serve as a representative of the minister in charge of higher education and science. The term of office will last until 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n The official inauguration of the work of the NAWA Council took place on 9 November 2021 at the Ministry of Education and Science.<\/span><\/p>\n The Council, which was established in 2017, is the consultative and advisory body of NAWA. Its tasks include preparing proposals for the directions of activities and development of the agency, giving opinions on reports on its activities, as well as periodically assessing the implementation of action plans.<\/span><\/p>\n Prof. Wies\u0142aw Bany\u015b from the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Silesia, Rector of the University in 2008-2016, also sits on the Council as a representative of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland.<\/span><\/p>\n \n<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″]\r\n Prof. Tomasz Pietrzykowski.
