It is with pain and sadness
\nthat we have received the news about the death of<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Prof. Wac\u0142aw D\u0142ugoborski<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Silesia in 1973\u20131976,
\nHead of the Institute of History in 1976\u20131978,
\nan outstanding historian of the recent history of Poland and Europe,
\na witness of the dramatic and complex Polish history in the 20th century.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He will remain in our memories as a respected academic,
\nmentor of several generations of historians,
\nwho inspired scientific research and shared his methodological experience.<\/p>\n

May his memory be a blessing.<\/p>\n
