Margret Grebowicz, PhD, Associate Professor, from the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Silesia in Katowice is one of the recipients of the media fellowship sponsored by the Marc Sanders Foundation. The researcher will complete the fellowship at \u201cThe New Yorker\u201d magazine in the science journalism section in the media and philosophy category. The New Yorker is an American socio-political weekly magazine, which features, among others, reports and commentaries on social, cultural, and political life, as well as texts on popular culture.<\/span><\/p>\n The Marc Sanders Foundation initiative aims to increase the presence of philosophy in print and audiovisual media by training philosophers to write and produce content for a broad audience. The fellows were selected out of 264 applicants. The selection committee consisted of academic philosophers and media professionals.<\/span><\/p>\n Margret Grebowicz, PhD, Associate Professor, works at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Silesia in Katowice. She defended her doctoral dissertation at Emory University, where one of her mentors was Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Lyotard. She taught in the United States, Great Britain, and Russia.
