For the 6th time, the Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation awarded outstanding personalities from Silesia. One of the laureates was Prof. Tadeusz S\u0142awek &#8211; literary scholar, poet, local government official and the Rector of the University of Silesia from 1996 to 2002.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also rewarded were:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Robert Talarczyk &#8211; Director of the Silesian Theatre,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zdzis\u0142awa Dacko-Pikiewicz &#8211; Rector of WSB University in D\u0105browa G\u00f3rnicza,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Artur Tomasik &#8211; Chair of the Board of the Upper Silesian Aviation Group (GTL SA).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The statuettes were presented by: Prof. Jerzy Buzek &#8211; Member of the European Parliament, former Prime Minister of Poland, former President of the European Parliament, and winner of the Outstanding Pole award, Dr Marcin Krupa &#8211; Mayor of Katowice, Wojciech Ku\u015bpik &#8211; President of the European Economic Congress, and Andrzej Czernek &#8211; Vice President of the Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div>\r\n                    <\/div>\r\n                <\/div>            \r\n                    <div class=\"container\">\r\n                        <div class=\"gallery gallery_2\" data-images-in-row=\"2\">\r\n                            \r\n                            <div class=\"row m-0\">\r\n                                <a data-fancybox-group=\"button\" title=\"Uroczyste wr\u0119czenie statuetek \u201ePromotor Polski\u201d | fot.
