Marta Tomczok, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor from the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Silesia in Katowice has received the scholarship of the Marshal of Silesian Voivodeship in the category of culture for an essay and photography publication \u201cOstatnia tona. Upami\u0119tnianie w\u0119gla jako dobra natury i kultury\u201d (The last ton. Commemorating coal as a good of nature and culture).<\/span><\/p>\n The scholarships has been granted since 2002 for people involved in artistic work, dissemination and protection of cultural goods for the benefit of the Silesian Voivodeship. This year they were granted to 20 people. The amount of one scholarship is PLN 10,000.<\/span><\/p>\n Marta Tomczok, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor \u2013 researcher of the Holocaust and its cultural references, editor-in-chief of the yearly \u201cNarracje o\u00a0 Zag\u0142adzie\u201d (Narratives on Holocaust).
