The goal is to reshape them fundamentally. Members of the academic community of the University of Silesia in Katowice can track progress of this undertaking and participate in its implementation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The objectives of the project, its progress and solutions developed as part of the works can be found on the website that has just been launched: <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/us.edu.pl\/pracownik\/sprawy-dydaktyczne\/nowa-koncepcja-studiow\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">us.edu.pl\/pracownik\/sprawy-dydaktyczne\/nowa-koncepcja-studiow<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The conceptual works are carried out by a team under the patronage of the Rector of the University of Silesia, Prof. Ryszard Kozio\u0142ek. The project of the new model of studies assumes that the bachelor&#8217;s and engineer&#8217;s studies and part of the long-cycle master&#8217;s studies will consist of four parts<\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">degree programme modules that will be revised based on the current competences of candidates for studies, their educational expectations and knowledge of the labour market<\/span>,<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">basic modules from the point of view of a specific field of study or faculty, necessary in the process of specialist education students of many faculties<\/span>,<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">modules supporting specialised education, including teacher education<\/span>,<\/li>\n<li>m<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">odules that students will be able to choose themselves<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The University of Silesia also organises open seminars concerning the systemic foundations of the concept of new studies. Six meetings have been held so far. They were participated by: Prof. Ryszard Kozio\u0142ek; Micha\u0142 Krzykawski, PhD, DLitt, Assoc. Prof; Prof. Monika Kostera; Prof. Jerzy Hausner; Prof. Przemys\u0142aw Czapli\u0144ski; Anna Machnikowska, PhD, DLitt, Professor of the University of Gda\u0144sk and Prof. Pedro Russo.
