This Sunday, 29 January, the 31st final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will take place. This time, the purpose of the charity fundraiser is to equip laboratories with devices that allow for accelerating the diagnosis of infections that can lead to sepsis.<\/p>\n

The University of Silesia is once again involved in the charity campaign. The Faculty of Arts and Educational Science of the University of Silesia donated the graphic ‘Scars VII’ (50\u00d770 cm, pigment print, gilding, ink) for the auction. The author of the work Anna Wajda, PhD.<\/p>\n

Anna Wajda, PhD about her work<\/h3>\n

\"oznaczenie My works are thematically immersed in the dimension of internal spiritual and emotional dialogue. Through the intuitive, impressionistic nature of the works, sometimes ascetic in their means of expression, I try to show the richness of mysticism and metaphysical experiences. I express my feelings and thoughts in the colours and structure of the matter of my graphics, even the smallest component is necessary and has a specific message. I am a graphic artist by profession, but above all by passion. In 2008, I graduated from the Institute of Art of the University of Silesia in Cieszyn. In 2018, I completed my doctoral thesis. Currently, I work as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Fine Arts of the University of Silesia and at the Private High School of Fine Arts in Cieszyn. I present my works at exhibitions in Poland and abroad.<\/p>\n

I am an artist, a graphic designer, but above all a graphic artist. I love graphics, especially metal techniques. Although my greatest love is traditional etching, I am also passionate about searching for new graphic means of expression and graphic experiments. I find inspiration in the beauty of nature, I am delighted with its inner light.<\/p>\n
