Silesian Regional Assembly has declared 2023 as the Year of Science in the Silesian Voivodeship. This activity is to emphasize the significance of science for our region. It also constitutes a form of preparation for the celebrations related to the European City of Science 2024 title awarded to Katowice. The capital of the Silesian Voivodeship is the first city in the Central and Eastern Europe \u015arodkowo-Eastern to have obtained this prestigious distinction.<\/p>\n

The announcement of the Year of Science is supposed to inspire closer cooperation of municipalities and communes with scientific and business circles in order to improve the region\u2019s potential, as well as the well-being of its inhabitants.\u00a0The feast was established pursuant to Resolution no. VI\/52\/12\/2022 of the Silesian Voivodeship of 19 December 2022.<\/p>\n
