Our University placed 10th among universities:\u00a0 <\/span>perspektywy.pl\/e-book\/#page38<\/span><\/a> and 30th among all higher education institutions in the Perspektywy University Ranking 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

The University of Silesia took 1st place in the staff exchange category (mobility) as part of the Erasmus+ programme. This indicator was introduced this year. It illustrates the frequency of foreign exchange trips taken by academics \u2013 the proportion of people taking advantage of mobility options to the overall number of academic staff.<\/span><\/p>\n

We can also be proud of placing 9th in the Top 10 category (<\/span>Publications in Top 10 Journal Percentiles). <\/span><\/i>In turn, this is an indicator of the extent to which the university\u2019s publications are present in the top 10% of most cited journals in the world. Considering the groups of indicators, we rank 5th among academic universities in the scientific potential category and 6th = (together with the University of Wroc\u0142aw) in the internationalisation category.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the Perspektywy Degree Programme Ranking 2023, we made significant progress (we advanced 10 places) in security degree programmes, taking 5th place. The geography degree programme also took 5th place, advancing 2 places. An upper trajectory can be observed in journalism and communication, history, and tourism and recreation. In Polish, English, and foreign studies, we maintain a strong presence (6th, 8th, and 7th place respectively).<\/span><\/p>\n
