The event is part of the European City of Science programme, which will last throughout 2024.<\/p>\n Numbers have accompanied mankind for thousands of years, and even those who had the greatest problems with mathematics at school cannot escape from them in everyday life. The aim of the week is to show the ubiquity and usefulness of numbers, i.e., to popularise exact sciences by identifying the areas of everyday life in which mathematics, physics, chemistry and computer science are used.
