The event is part of the European City of Science programme, which will last throughout 2024.<\/p>\n Katowice, Chorz\u00f3w and Sosnowiec will become the centre of innovation during New Technology Week. For seven days, science reaches a new level, exploring the areas of physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, biomedical engineering and materials science and engineering.<\/p>\n The \u2018Accelerating Science\u2019 exhibition, entirely dedicated to CERN, will be presented in the SMCEBI building in Chorz\u00f3w. It will take participants to the fascinating world of elementary particle physics. The exhibition contains three capsules containing, among others: theoretical physics room or children’s corner.\u00a0 Interactive stands, presentations of experiments and meetings with scientists will allow you to deepen your knowledge of the latest discoveries in this field of physics, opening the door to the mysterious world of the microcosmos.<\/p>\n Workshops, conducted by outstanding specialists during New Technology Week, will enable participants to practically immerse themselves in the latest technologies. From artificial intelligence to nanotechnology, each participant will find something for themselves that will arouse their curiosity and open new horizons.<\/p>\n Lectures will constitute an important part of New Technology Week. Experts from various fields will present their perspectives on emerging areas of science, gaining the audience’s attention and inspiring them to think outside the box. Discoveries in the field of particle physics, artificial intelligence and modern materials will be presented in a way that will make even laypeople see the fascinating world of science.<\/p>\n Expert debates are another point of the program that will emphasize the ambiguity of the week’s topic. They will discuss the ethical and social aspects of technological progress in the field of nanotechnology, trying to find a balance between development and responsibility. In-depth discussions will allow you to look at the technology from different perspectives, taking into account both its benefits and potential challenges.<\/p>\n A special edition of short speeches on topics related to the use of new technologies in the research work of young scientists will also attract the participants\u2019 attention.<\/p>\n The ambiguity of the week’s theme will become a source of inspiration for everyone who will take part in this unique event.
