The Technical University of Ostrava\u2014a member of the international consortium of universities Progres 3, the member of which is also the University of Silesia in Katowice\u2014has announced the results of the Competition for the Best Dissertation Defended in 2023.<\/p>\n

The winner in the category Raw Materials, Energy and Environment was Oliwia Metryka, PhD, from the Faculty of Natural Sciences, for her dissertation Induction of oxidative stress in bacterial cells by selected metallic nanoparticles and its relationship with antimicrobial activity.<\/em><\/p>\n

The jury of experts featuring scientists appointed by each university in the consortium had selected works that particularly deserve recognition and award.<\/p>\n
