Feniks Awards 2024 were presented in April. The album Christus vincit \u2013 Camerata Silesia sings Pawe\u0142 \u0141ukaszewski <\/em>received a distinction in the \u2018Christian Music \u2013 classical \/ contemporary\u2019 category.<\/p>\n The Camerata Silesia Katowice City Singers\u2019 Ensemble and Prof. Anna Szostak-Myrczek, director and conductor of the ensemble from the Faculty of Arts and Educational Science of the University of Silesia, won the Feniks Award. The award was also presented to Towarzystwo Przyjaci\u00f3\u0142 Muzyki im. Andrzeja Krzanowskiego [Andrzej Krzanowski Friends of Music Association] \u2013 the publisher of the album.<\/p>\n Camerata Silesia is the leading chamber singers group in Poland. It was established in 1990 by Prof. Anna Szostak-Myrczek who remains its conductor to this day. In over 30 years of activity, the ensemble earned international recognition performing in the most prestigious concert halls in Europe and Asia. The group members regularly participate in the largest international music festivals in Poland.<\/p>\n Prof. Anna Szostak-Myrczek is a conductor, educator, and professor of music. She established and conducted several vocal ensembles and won a lot of awards at Polish and foreign music festivals. She gained the most recognition as a conductor of the Camerata Silesia Katowice City Singers\u2019 Ensemble, which she has been leading continuously since its establishment in 1990. In 2015 she received the Gloria Artis Bronze Medal for Merit in Culture for special achievements in artistic and cultural activity and protecting national culture and heritage.<\/p>\n Feniks Awards are presented each year by Stowarzyszenie Wydawc\u00f3w Katolickich [Catholic Publishers\u2019 Association].
